Convert one photo, illustration or transparent icon into pixel art in your browser. Choose a real 32 × 32, 64 × 64 or 128 × 128 grid, adjust the framing, explore a limited palette, and download a PNG at an integer scale.
Made for a simple workflow
Fit keeps your whole image and its proportions. Crop lets you choose a square composition. From image extracts colors from your picture; the Game Boy-inspired and PICO-8 options offer fixed retro palettes. Custom palette lets you enter or import your own colors and save a named palette in this browser. Optional ordered dithering adds texture while keeping the chosen colors.
Your image stays with you
Image processing happens locally in your browser. The converter does not upload your images or pixels, and it does not keep them in local storage. The site uses Google Analytics to understand visits and usage. Read the privacy page for more detail.

The PICO-8 colors follow the public PICO-8 manual. The converter uses independently written image processing based on established resampling, color reduction and ordered-dithering techniques.
